About Great Zimbabwe & Masvingo
<p>Great Zimbabwe is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest ancient stone structure in sub-Saharan Africa. Built between the 11th and 15th centuries, these massive stone ruins were the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe during the country's Late Iron Age. The site showcases impressive dry-stone construction and provides insight into Zimbabwe's rich pre-colonial history. The nearby town of Masvingo serves as a gateway to other attractions including Lake Mutirikwi and the ruins of Dhlo-Dhlo.
