About Lake Kariba

Lake Kariba is one of the world's largest man-made lakes, created in the 1950s by damming the Zambezi River. The lake stretches over 220 kilometers long and offers a unique aquatic safari experience. Visitors can enjoy houseboat cruises, fishing expeditions (especially for the famous tiger fish), and spectacular sunsets. The lake's shoreline is home to abundant wildlife including elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles, with excellent game viewing at Matusadona National Park.
